Note: This is third of the X-mas fics (it's really getting to the point now where it's like, why the hell do I bother? It's January and I AM SO LATE IT IS JUST SILLY. She is a Matt girl so I knew exactly what she meant. HOWEVER, YOU DO NOT GET A GIFT AGAIN. Jesus. How do I explain how hard this was to write without telling her plot ideas or asking her to flesh things out with me? As my beta boo, I felt like I was hiding things from her. It made me so sad panda. And then, good lord, how many times did this plot change? We went from 19th century dandies with a biting fetish, to really violently, angry make up sex, to a Deadmau5 gig, BACK to violent sex. Well. I guess that just proves that I can never write a story without telling her about it because I CLEARLY don't know what to do with myself. HAPPY NEW YEAR KIDS <3
Historical Note: I know that London had a ridiculously small Chinatown in the 1800's, and that Opium Dens were basically non-existent. They merely existed in literature to drive home their hedonistic view points. But I loved this idea, and it is historically accurate that China was in the process of trading Opium with France, America, Canada and the UK before the Opium wars about 11 years after this story takes place. Suspend belief, yeah?
