Note: This fic was inspired by The Mars Volta song "In Absentia." Though it is inspired by a song, it is by no means a song fic. There generally is no narrative the song follows, and it was mostly the atmosphere of the song that moved me. When I was listening to it, this is what I saw. I am aware that this fic is unconventional and also relatively different from anything I've written. Please, be gentle with me. Also....you might want to some tissues.
