Disclaimer: I don't own Muse or The Book of Talbot. I mean no offense by anything written here. I am not an exorcist, so I have gone on what little folklore there is about demons and Latin incantations. I do, however, own Emily, Jacob, Abigail, Father Richard and Father Ethan. Plattsburgh, New York and Cumberland Bay are 30 minutes out side of my home town, so the locations described here are real.

Summary: AU. Matt is an exorcist in upstate New York. When he gets called in for a job that sounds run of the mill, he encounters far more than he ever expected. Lost and feeling guilty, he writes what he remembers in his journal.
Note: Ok so....I went to go see Muse this past weekend, so this got put on hold because of reasons. I'm really, really happy I can finally post this! Firstly, I need to give confetti, presents, Dom Howard, everything, my soul over toglitterati, without whom this literally would never have been completed. Thank you for encouraging me, helping me, and inspiring me the entire way through this <3 Secondly, god love sunshine_173 who was my plot penguin and beta-buddy because I can't cope without her.
