Yep, it was Dom. It wasn't....exactly a hopeful ending. I can see how some people think of it as hopeful, because it is relatively open ended. But it's implied that they've done this before. It's a cycle that neither of them can break. Matt is too much of a coward, and Dom is always the one losing his memory so he's effectively trapped. When I decided on that ending, I didn't have a number in my head of how many times they've been through it. Maybe one day I'll write this from Matt's POV, but for right now I'll let everyone make up their own minds on whether or not they ever get to stay together.
